List of Metabolism-Boosting Foods for Fast safe weight loss
Can you imagine being able to eat and still lose weight? I remember the days when the only way to lose weight was to count every calorie or starve yourself. Thank goodness those days are over and eating metabolism-boosting foods is one technique on my easy diet plans list for fast safe weight loss.
I went on the hunt for metabolism-boosting foods and some of them may even surprise you. Don’t give up your cup of coffee yet. Did you know that some caffeine in the morning can actually help your focus? And that chocolate bar you have been hiding at the back of the freezer could help you on your way to fast safe weight loss.
I have been looking at lists upon lists and many of them have similar foods that I want to share with you. Some of them you may already be consuming believe it or not. Even if you’re using supplements or diet programs you can never have enough help in my opinion.
What is Metabolism? -
Now what exactly is metabolism and how does it work? I will tell you in as simple terms as I can to help you better understand the process and how it can effect your body. Metabolism is actually the amount of calories or energy the body uses to sustain itself. Here is the important part, metabolism is effected by your body composition of muscle to fat ratio. Metabolism is known to be slower if your body is made up of more fat. If you’re made up of majority of lean muscle, your metabolism will be faster resulting in burning more calories during the day.
If you’re eating fat burning foods you actually burn more calories than actually contained in the food and this is good news for people like me who love food but gained 5 pounds from eating one meal. I have read on one list that fruits and vegetables actually help you to lose weight because they contain an enzymes that help you break down foods and absorb nutrients, so be sure to incorporate these on your easy diet plans list. Makes sense, did your mom ever tell you you’re not getting enough roughage?
Another key, is eat enough. You should never feel hungry.
Spice it up!
I know some like it hot, my husband actually sweats when we eat our pho bo sate soup and loves it and it only makes sense that when your body temperature is going up, you’re burning calories and on your way to Fast safe weight loss. Chili powder contains capsaisin that raises temperature. Other spices that get a great deal of kudos in the fat burning department are cinnamon, fennel seeds, ginger, parsley and garlic.
Dairy – the calcium in foods like milk, yogurt and cheese helps to break down the fat stored in fat cells. Don’t forget there is calcium in broccoli as well and should also be on your easy diet plans list. I did read somewhere that all foods will enable you to burn fat, but fast foods are definitely NOT on the list.
Another tidbit that will make you think twice about cutting calories is that you should actually be eating about small five meals a day. A friend of mine actually lost 50 lbs in 9 weeks doing this along with a safe and natural supplement.

Whey protein – it’s a complete high quality protein that actually makes you feel fuller longer

Chicken

canola oil
Whole grains (be sure it says whole and not enriched)
Oatmeal
Peanut Butter – contains essential fatty acids and fiber. Peanut butter is a staple and a favorite in our home and first on my easy diet plans list for fast safe weight loss. It’s so good for you, delicious and convenient, especially for moms. Please remember not to buy those cute jars with furry little animals on them with lots of added sugar and preservatives. Yuck. You can actually buy plain peanut butter with nothing else but peanuts for the same price. I buy the big Costco jars and sometimes they are even organic. Actually an inexpensive protein source with no cholesterol.
Water – flushes the body and rids it of toxins, so often people mistake hunger for thirst. Staying well hydrated is essential since the majority of our body is made up of water.
An apple a day . . . did you know apples and berries contain pectin which restricts the amount of fat our cells can absorb and also forces the cells to discharge the fatty deposits. Nice! Berries such as strawberries, blackberries and raspberries help to detox your body which would explain why they are such a nice complement to your smoothies.
Here is a great way to get you started with metabolism-boosting foods that can be part of your easy diet plans that really work.
